Lake Cisco: Enjoy fishing and water sports. Stocked with largemouth
bass, white crappie, redear sunfish, channel catfish, and a few small mouth
bass. Located on Sandy Creek 55 miles east of Abilene Just 4.6 miles (10
min) north of Safe Haven RV Park. Go north on US-183/TX-6. Go 3 miles
left/west on FM 2807 (FM 2807 curves north). The boat ramp is located off

Lake Cisco Country Club Golf Course: Relax at the 9-hole 2,598 yard
regulation-length public golf course for a par of 34. Just 5 miles (10 min)
north of Safe Haven RV Park. Go north on US-183 / TX-6 / Conrad Hilton
Blvd.; past CR-2807; left on CR-561 / Country Club Rd.

Lake Leon: (aka Leon Reservoir) Some of the best fishing around. 7 miles
south of Eastland. Just 23 minutes / 20.6 miles east of Safe Haven RV
Park. From Interstate 20, go southeast at Exit 343 (FM-570). Turn
south/right on FM 2214. Largemouth bass, white crappie, white bass,

Moths and Butterflies in Eastland County
In 1889, E. M. Hashbrouck identified 60+ spiecies of summer birds in
Eastland County Texas. Hashbrouck reported the Melanerpes aurifrons
(Golden-fronted woodpecker) as common in Eastland County but unknown
outside of 25 square miles. The area has many dead-topped post-oak
trees which suit the woodpecker. Eastland County has 46 amphibians and
reptiles, 30 moths and butterflies, and hunting wildlife.
